Description

Fully threaded metric M10 x 1 probe body (Option 00 unthreaded length) featuring an integrated AISI 302 or 304 stainless steel protective armor jacket over a 1.0-meter cable defines the 330104-00-18-10-01-00 proximity probe configuration. This mechanical setup is engineered to resist severe wear, making it suitable for applications where unarmored cables would be exposed to mechanical damage, abrasion, or fluid contamination in industrial machines.

This configuration is characterized by an overall case length of 180 mm (Option 18) and a total length of 1.0 meter (Option 10). Unlike variants without physical protection, the armor jacket safeguards the triaxial coaxial cable. It is supplied with a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and a pre-installed connector protector (Option 01), and does not require agency approvals (Option 00). It connects to a compatible 3300 XL extension cable and Proximitor sensor as part of a complete non-contacting displacement measurement chain.

Installation Guidelines

• Target Gap Setting: Position the probe to a typical gap of approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils) to achieve a nominal -9 Vdc output for radial vibration or midpoint axial position.
• Thread Torque: Secure the metric M10 x 1 probe case using the standard lock nut. Do not exceed the maximum rated installation torque of 22.6 N-m (200 in-lbf).
• Cable Bend Radius: Ensure the armored cable is routed with a bend radius of no less than 25.4 mm (1.0 in) to prevent internal triaxial conductor fatigue.
• Connector Connection: The miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector is a gold-plated "click" type. Connect the probe to the extension cable finger-tight. Ensure the fluorosilicone connector protector is properly installed to prevent moisture ingress.
• Mechanical Routing: Route the armored cable through conduit or cable trays to protect it from high-velocity debris or extreme mechanical strain.
