Description

The Emerson SE5009 is a modular 24VDC system power supply designed for the DeltaV S-series distributed control platform. Connecting directly to 24 VDC plant bulk power, the unit provides localized system power to DeltaV controllers and associated I/O interfaces without requiring external cabling. The module fits into DeltaV power/controller carriers to energize internal power buses, delivering 5 VDC power to the controller and up to 8.0 A of 12 VDC power to the I/O subsystem. Featuring load-sharing and modular expansion, the SE5009 supports system redundancy and maintains steady output power under varying input voltage conditions.

What happens to the output capacity at higher operating temperatures?

Between -40 degC and 60 degC, the 12 VDC output provides up to 8.0 A. From 60 degC to 70 degC, the 12 VDC output derates to 6.0 A, while the 5 VDC output remains at 2.0 A.

What do the LED status indicators on the module signify?

The green LED indicates that DC input power is applied and internal protection is intact. The red LED indicates that the 5 VDC outputs are out of tolerance.

What is the contact rating for the internal alarm relay?
