The GT1572-VNBA functions as a drop-in replacement within the GT15 family of the GOT1000 Series. When replacing older systems or upgrading from older GT11/GT15 units, confirm the communication modules installed on the rear expansion slots (e.g., CC-Link, Ethernet, or Bus connections) as these option boards must be moved over to the new HMI unit to preserve network mapping. Use GT Designer3 software to convert older project files (.g2 or .g1 files) to current workspace files.
The CCFL backlight tube utilized in this specific unit has a finite operating life. In high-temperature electrical panels, ensure there is a vertical clearance of at least 100mm from nearby heat-producing elements (such as variable frequency drives or power supplies) to avoid premature display dimming or color degradation. Maintain proper cabinet ventilation to ensure internal HMI temperature remains within nominal ranges.
When wiring serial interfaces to MELSEC series PLCs over RS-422/485 networks, always use double-shielded twisted pair cables.
