It is not backward compatible with DVP series PLCs due to differences in backplane bus architecture and power distribution. When routing signal lines for the AH04HC-5A in high-voltage panels, avoid running the low-voltage differential pulse cables alongside variable frequency drive (VFD) output cables. High electromagnetic fields can induce stray counts, causing positioning drift. Utilizing shielded twisted-pair (STP) cabling grounded at a single, low-impedance ground point is mandatory for achieving reliable 200 kHz performance.
Verify the input signal voltage level configuration within the software (ISPSoft) before powering up the field instrumentation. Applying 24VDC to a channel set for 5VDC differential logic can permanently damage the channel's input optocouplers.
