Bently Nevada 129486-01 3500/15 Legacy High Voltage DC Power Supply Module

Quantity

Product Description

The 129486-01 is a 3500/15 Legacy High Voltage DC Power Supply Module designed to provide regulated power to a full 3500 series machinery protection system rack. This half-height module accepts high-voltage direct current input and converts it into precisely regulated levels suitable for the operation of other integrated 3500 monitoring modules. The 3500 system rack accommodates up to two power supplies simultaneously on the left-hand side, establishing a fully redundant power architecture where the module in the lower slot serves as the primary supply and the module in the upper slot functions as the backup supply. Inserting or removing either power supply module can be executed during live operations without causing any disruption to the rack system functions, provided that a second power source remains operational.

Features

  • Redundant Operation Support: Allows two units to be installed concurrently inside a single rack frame to establish an automated primary and backup safety layout.
  • Live Hot-Swapping Capability: Supports safe removal or insertion of individual modules without interrupting machinery protection operation.
  • Integrated Safety Interrupts: Features built-in over-voltage protection that initiates a fuse open state on the power input module to secure internal electronics.
  • Status Diagnostic Indicator: Front panel includes a dedicated green "SUPPLY OK" LED to provide immediate visual confirmation of proper power module operation.

Applications

  • High-voltage direct current backup power infrastructure installations for critical rotating machinery protection.
  • Redundant power module replacement in utility-scale steam and gas turbine monitoring racks.
  • Continuous power delivery for large industrial centrifugal air and gas compressors utilizing 3500 series racks.

Installation Guidelines

  • Slot Configuration: Install the power supply exclusively into the designated half-height slot locations situated on the far left side of the 3500 system rack.
  • Redundancy Allocation: When deploying a redundant pair, place the primary supply in the bottom slot position and the secondary backup unit directly into the upper slot position.
  • Input Isolation Protection: Verify that the paired high-voltage DC power input module (PIM) is installed directly behind the designated power supply slot prior to applying power lines.
  • Thermal Management: Ensure cabinet ambient temperatures stay within the specified operational threshold of -30 degC to +65 degC to preserve internal component longevity.

Compliance and Certifications

  • EMC Directive: Fulfills European Community Directive 2014/30/EU requirements based on EN 61000-6-2 (Industrial Immunity) and EN 61000-6-4 (Industrial Emissions) standards.
  • Electrical Safety: Complies with Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and EN 61010-1 design parameters.
