Installation Guidelines

• Ensure the probe is mounted with the appropriate probe gap set in accordance with system calibration (typically 1.27 mm or 50 mils for standard linear range).
• Ensure the mechanical mounting location does not exceed maximum rated torque limits when tightening the probe case into the machine housing. Standard recommended torque is 11.2 N-m (100 in-lbf).
• Maintain a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) during routing to prevent internal damage to the coaxial core and shield.
• Always route the probe cable away from sources of high-frequency electromagnetic interference and use proper shielding and grounding practices.
• This 5.0-meter probe must be connected directly to a 5-meter Proximitor sensor only; do not add an extension cable to this configuration as it will alter the system's electrical length and disrupt calibration.
