Description

The Bently Nevada 330101-00-40-10-02-05 is a high-accuracy 8 mm proximity probe belonging to the industry-standard 3300 XL transducer series. Unlike other variants in the 330101 family which might have armored cables or extended unthreaded sections, the 330101-00-40-10-02-05 configuration utilizes a standard unarmored FEP-jacketed cable with a fully threaded 4.0-inch case (0.0 inches unthreaded). This makes it ideal for direct forward-mounting into bearing housings where a 4.0-inch thread reach is needed without physical interference or additional armor protection. Furthermore, it is equipped with the standard miniature ClickLoc connector and is certified for hazardous environments under major global bodies.

Installation Guidelines

• Mount the probe with the appropriate probe gap per system calibration (nominally -9 Vdc or approximately 1.27 mm / 50 mils for radial vibration applications).
• Tighten the probe case to bearing housing. The recommended installation torque is 7.5 N-m (66 in-lbf) on the first three threads, up to a maximum rated torque of 33.9 N-m (300 in-lbf).
• Maintain a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) for proper sensor longevity and operation.
• Ensure the coaxial ClickLoc connector is kept clean, dry, and free of oil. Direct exposure to turbine oil at the connection point is not recommended.
• Route probe cables with proper shielding and grounding practices according to Bently Nevada drawings 140979 or 141092.
