This non-contact eddy-current sensor is used in the 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Transducer System to measure shaft vibration and axial position on fluid-film bearing machines. The 11 mm probe tip provides a longer linear range of 4.0 mm (160 mils) compared to standard 8 mm probe systems, making it suitable for larger industrial machines where greater displacement measurements are required.

Unlike the 330710 sister configuration which includes protective stainless steel armor, the 330709 model features an unarmored triaxial cable, making it easier to route through conduit and tight machinery housings. This configuration also uses Option 00 for agency approvals, which is specified for standard, non-hazardous industrial installations where local hazardous area certifications are not required.

Installation Guidelines

• Probe Mounting: Mount the probe securely in a threaded bracket or mounting bushing. Ensure class of fit matches the external M16 x 1.5 thread to prevent binding.
• Maximum Torque Limit: Tighten the probe case to a recommended torque of 21.1 N-m (187 in-lb). Do not exceed the maximum rated torque of 63.3 N-m (560 in-lb) to prevent case damage.
• Connector Care: Keep coaxial connector contacts clean and dry. Finger-tighten the ClickLoc coaxial connection, ensuring it click-locks into place. Do not exceed a torque of 0.565 N-m (5 in-lb).
• Cable Routing: Observe the minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) to prevent internal triaxial conductor damage. Secure the unarmored FEP cable within conduits or cable trays to prevent abrasive wear.
