Description

Integrating decentralized execution with flexible communication capabilities, the BECKHOFF BX8000 functions as a high-performance programmable logical controller designed for the Beckhoff Bus Terminal system. This compact controller bridges standard serial communication interfaces (RS232 and RS485) with industrial I/O signals, enabling modular control topologies in complex plant installations. Engineered with 256 kbytes of program memory and 256 kbytes of data memory, it provides robust capabilities for execution tasks configured via the TwinCAT software suite in compliance with the IEC 61131-3 standard.

Installation Guidelines

• Mounting: Mount horizontally on standard 35 mm DIN rail (conforming to EN 60715) using the integrated locking mechanism.
• Wiring: Connection terminals utilize tool-actuated spring clamps. Solid conductors (0.08 to 2.5 mm squared) and flexible conductors with wire-end ferrules (0.14 to 1.5 mm squared) should be stripped to a length of 8 to 9 mm prior to insertion.
• Shielding & Grounding: Ensure a low-impedance connection to the functional earth terminal to safeguard against serial interface EMC disturbances.
