Description

Triconex 3624 is a 24 VDC TMR supervised digital output module for Tricon fault-tolerant control systems. It provides 16 commoned digital output points for controlling field devices in critical process applications.

The module receives output data from the three Tricon Main Processors through separate channels. Each set of three output signals is processed by a fully fault-tolerant quadruplicated output switch before being sent to the field termination.

Voltage and current loopback circuits continuously verify the output switches, field circuit, and connected load. These diagnostics operate without changing the commanded output state.

The supervision circuitry detects loss of field power, open loads, missing loads, shorted loads, and field shorts that could energize a load incorrectly. The module supports hot-spare operation and requires a separate external termination panel.
