Description

Fully threaded M14 x 1.5 metric steel probe body (Option 000) with a 40 mm overall case length (Option 040) and 1.0 m total length (Option 10) — 330703-000-040-10-12-00. This unarmored 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe incorporates a FluidLoc cable (Option 12) featuring a miniature ClickLoc coaxial connector. The specialized FluidLoc internal construction blocks oil and other liquids from migrating along the interior of the probe cable, establishing a secure seal for harsh industrial environments where fluid exposure is a concern.

Designed for non-contacting vibration and displacement measurement, this metric probe is an essential component of the 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Transducer System. In contrast to standard non-sealed cable options, the FluidLoc design prevents process fluid bypass, making it highly effective for direct-exposure installations. This configuration requires no special hazardous area agency approvals (Option 00) and connects with standard 3300 XL 11 mm extension cables and Proximitor Sensors to achieve a 4.0 mm linear range on industrial rotating machinery.

Features

  • FluidLoc cable option (Option 12) prevents process fluids and oil from leaking through the cable interior.
  • M14 x 1.5 metric threaded probe body (without armor) for direct mounting into metric tapped machine cases.
  • 0 mm unthreaded length (Option 000) maximizes thread engagement across the 40 mm case length.
  • 1.0 m total length (Option 10) for standard system routing to a matching extension cable.
  • Gold-plated brass ClickLoc coaxial connector ensures a secure, vibration-proof connection.
  • No agency approval (Option 00) for general-purpose, non-hazardous area applications.

Applications

  • Steam and gas turbine rotor axial position monitoring
  • Thrust position measurements where extended linear range is required
  • Differential expansion monitoring on steam turbine casings
  • Rod drop and rod position measurements in reciprocating compressors
  • Speed sensing and Keyphasor phase reference signal generation

Installation Guidelines

  • Probe Gap Setting: Adjust the physical probe-to-target gap using a digital voltmeter connected to the Proximitor Sensor output. The recommended nominal gap is 2.5 mm (100 mils), which corresponds to approximately -10 Vdc output.
  • Thread Engagement: Do not exceed the maximum rated thread engagement length of 21 mm for M14 x 1.5 cases to prevent binding during installation.
  • Connector Torque: Connectors should be finger-tight. The maximum recommended torque is 0.565 N-m (5 in-lb) for mating coaxial connectors.
  • Cable Routing: Ensure the minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) is maintained to protect the coaxial cable from damage.
  • Moisture Protection: Ensure connectors are adequately protected to achieve up to 100% relative humidity sealing.

Compliance and Certifications

  • European Community Directive: EMC Directive 2014/30/EU
  • Standards: EN 61000-6-2 (Immunity), EN 61000-6-4 (Emissions) for Industrial Environments
