This metric threaded eddy-current sensor is part of the 3300 XL 25 mm Proximity Transducer System and measures large-target physical displacement on rotating machinery. Unlike English 1-1/2-12 thread variants (Option 01), this probe is configured with an M30x2 metric thread case for installation in metric threaded machinery ports. The 25 mm probe tip is double-sealed with both front and rear seals, working in tandem with the perfluoroalkoxyethylene (PFA) insulated FluidLoc coaxial cable to resist moisture, oil, and chemical intrusion. The 5.0-metre system length (Option 50) connects directly to a 5.0-metre Proximitor sensor, eliminating the requirement for an intermediate extension cable in standard installations.
Typical applications include differential expansion (DE) measurements on mid-size to large steam turbine generators, rotor axial position monitoring, thrust position tracking, large shaft target displacement analysis, and industrial machinery protection in hazardous power generation and petrochemical environments.
